Beautify Your iPhone Unlock Screen with Piano Passcode

May 6, 2013 — by Xin Chan5

If you are looking for some different experience to unlock your iPhone, then you should check out a new tweak that comes out a couple of days ago called Piano Passcode by Johnathan Winger Lang (@jontelang).

What Piano Passcode basically does is it replaces your current default iOS passcode keypad with a piano-alike one. It contains seven “notes” from musical scale “do” to “ti”. The idea of the tweak is completely genuine as far as I have seen and it is beautiful in both visual and audio senses.

LiveWire Adds a Split Screen Animation To iPhone Lockscreen

March 30, 2013 — by Adeel Qayum1

Though those who have just converted to the iOS platform may find the lockscreen as amusing, old iDevice users may be bored with how it appears. There are apps and tweaks that attempt to spice it up, but most of them have to be removed due to lag and other issues. LiveWire is a newly released Cydia tweak that brings a new unlock animation to the lockscreen that’s cool and doesn’t cause any lag issues.

After downloading the tweak, there would be no separate menu appearing in the stock Settings app, which means the user doesn’t require the user to make any configuration. Some of the apps and tweaks that offer a similar kind of functionality changed the interface of the slider, but LiveWire tweak blends in quite nicely.

jLauncher Is The Next-Generation App Switcher for iPhone

December 6, 2012 — by Adeel Qayum0

A number of Cydia apps are already available that make use of the App Switcher tray. A new tweak is now available that brings a task manager to your iOS device. It goes by the name jLauncher. This new tweak doesn’t make use of the App Switcher, but has an app switcher of its own.

The tray offered by this tweak appears even on the lock screen. It’s an overlaid screen, which shows recently launched apps and music controls. After you install the tweak, a pop-up message alert will redirect you to the jailbreak app. There won’t be any options available. All that is required is to assign a particular gesture to use its functionality.

Camera Grabber: Get iOS 5.1 Lock Screen Camera Shortcut On iOS 5.0.1 Device

July 30, 2012 — by Adeel Qayum

Most of you might already know that Apple released the iOS 5.1 just a few weeks ago and with it came a few small changes for the iPhone operating system, though these changes aren’t what one might call as ‘amazing’ or brings something new to the iPhone that might excite the iOS community. The changes present in the new iOS release, are for the camera app for the iPhone. The new tweak makes the camera shortcut on the lock screen function like the iOS 5.1 camera shortcut.

AnyLock: Widgets And Shortcuts For The Lockscreen

July 25, 2012 — by Adeel Qayum4

Your lockscreen isn’t going to be just your lockscreen from now on, as you will now have the option to place apps on the lockscreen and access them directly from there, and you can do all this by using the AnyLock Cydia tweak. You might be thinking why the developers didn’t think of this before, well, I’m sure no one ever imagined using the lockscreen for anything than “unlocking the phone”, but all that is going to change now. Although this isn’t a first as Acer has already started utilizing the lockscreen for apps, and the Firefox OS is going to use the lockscreen in a similar manner as well. There was no way iOS developers were going to stay behind!

You might want to check out this new jailbreak tweak that unlocks your screen in an exceptional way.

Featuring the PaperLock, this tweak is integrated with creative animations that enable users to unlock the iPhone and iPod Touch screen in three ways.

There’s freedom in customizing a jailbroken device. We can test some of them, and see if they work in our iPhone. The list of tweaks goes on. They keep on coming in Cydia, and they make us happy isn’t it?

Dashboard X’s features are awesome and creative lock screen tweaks for unlocking add aesthetics and effects. I will not be surprised if one day, we see a “super jailbreak tweak” that can control a device or maybe an iCar that can be jailbroken to enable flying mechanism.

FaceVault Brings Android’s Facial Recognition to iPhone

April 27, 2012 — by Sette Capati2

When it comes to apps and tweaks, we get the access to test and install them in our iDevices. We have the luxury to download the apps from the Cydia Store.

There are plenty of rooms for apps and tweaks on super charge gigabytes size of memory, and one of them is the RecognizeMe tweak which has been available for jailbroken devices. It gives us a taste of the facial recognition feature. Above all, Android gets the hits when it comes to this biometric recognition, having the rights over iOS devices.
