iPhone Dev Team is working deligently and now yellowsn0w 0.95 beta, the unlock solution for iPhone 3G, is just released. The new update fixes a number of issues including some SIM Toolkit (STK) issues. It’s recommended to upgrade to the latest version in case you can unlock the iPhone 3G using older version of yellowsn0w.

I have upgraded to iPhone 2.2 and jailbreak it for more than a week. iPhone 2.2 is really great update. I love the new features (Street view, Podcast download, etc) and find Safari much stable than earlier firmware version. iPhoneAtlas, however, reported that quite a number of iPhone users are experiencing issues with the upgrade:

Thanks for waiting. Finally, I managed to update the iPhone 2.2 jailbreak guide for Windows user. This guide is specifically for iPhone 2G (also known as 1st generation iPhone).

Before the release of iPhone firmware 2.2, it’s nearly impossible to take screenshot for the lock screen. I have suggested a workaround in earlier post to use Veency as an alternative way to capture the iPhone lock screen. This works but only on jailbreak iPhone.
