Saurik updated Cydia Substrate to v0.9.6110

Jailbroken users will hardly see Cydia Substrate getting updated unless a new jailbreak utility come out. Saurik tends to update it so that developers can release a new version to their jailbreak tweaks that support the new jailbroken firmware. Today was one of the many exceptions, due to bugs report and such, Cydia Substrate has been updated to version 0.9.6110.

Specifically, the update brings fixes for corrupt extensions, often used by the developer for obfuscation purposes. In previous versions, Saurik made an attempt to have Cydia detects whether the upcoming tweaks will cause crashing or not, as a result, Cydia Substrate ending crashing itself.


MusicExplorer tweak lets you backup music on your iPhone

Just like photos, videos, and documents, your downloaded songs should also be back up once awhile, whether that’s through a computer or cloud server. For some people, this might not be a convenient way since it deals with a computer, going to a specific folders, and such things.

A new jailbreak tweak called MusicExplorer is here to help you get over that long process of backing up all the music on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. The major goal of this Cydia tweak is for users to not touch any other device or operating system rather than their iOS devices. MusicExplorer allows you to backup or share music from your iOS music library in the .zip form, send an individual song via a text message, email attachment, or upload them to cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox.


Customize your iOS 9 App Switcher with Lylac tweak

Even though Apple has made some changes to their App Switcher in iOS 9, the features, how it function remain the same, and there is definitely room for improvements. A new jailbreak tweak on Cydia today called Lylac is here to add more features and give users the ability to customize iOS 9 App Switcher.

As far as functionality, Lylac allows users to combine both Control Center and App Switcher together. Thus, making it extremely easy to use different toggles, music controls, and see which applications is running on the background. Lylac also works really well with newer iPhone models (6s/6s Plus).


iOS 9.1 Browser-based Jailbreak Tool Created

Back in the day when iOS 2.0 was popular and it was so much easy for us jailbreakers to get Cydia on it. All you need was your iOS device that you want to jailbreak and Safari, which is the default browser on our device. No computer was needed to jailbreak iOS 2.0. This was thank to a utility called JailbreakMe. If you don’t know, the unique part of JailbreakMe was that it’s a browser-based jailbreak tool. This means you don’t need a computer or any type of machines except your own iOS device.

Last month, a company called Zerodium was trying to bring the same concept and apply it to the new iOS 9. The put out a $1 Million award for any hacker or team could achieve this. The event ended today and luckily a team of hackers were able to make a browser-based jailbreak for iOS 9.1 and 9.2 betas.


Saurik updated Winterboard for iOS 9, No longer crash

It comes to our surprise that Winterboard was able to work on iOS 9 – 9.0.2 right when the new Pangu 9 was released. If you didn’t know. the Pangu team recently released their iOS 9 Jailbreak utility for both Windows and Mac. Without getting an official update from its creator, Saurik, many users were able to install and use custom themes on their jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 9.


How to fix Facetime Paused when you open other app in iOS

One of the biggest disadvantage when using Facetime is that the application will automatically stop recording you whenever you exit the app and go to a different apps, for example. Although, Facetime didn’t disconnect you entirely with the other person, your face or whatever it is that the camera is recording will appear as Paused.

Some users are fine with this because they will return back to Facetime right away. But the majority of iOS users want to multitask and so it will be beneficial if there is a way to prevents Facetime from pausing when you open any other app on your iPhone and iPad.


iPhone 6s Live Photos and 3D Touch is coming to iOS 8

FutureLock is Certainly the Best Lock Screen Tweak for iOS 8

Through many iOS releases, major or minor, Apple still hasn’t bothered to change its lockscreen interface. The design and its functionality remain the same even though the company did modernize it a little bit to live up with the design standards.
