Hello there, long time no see everyone. It has been awhile since I publish anything on this blog. Now that I have a few days off from school, I will be sharing with you some short story of mine.
Without further ado, let’s jump right in.
As you may know, Apple just recently released watchOS 3 beta. This is one of their upcoming major firmware release and every user with an Apple Watch is excited about it. I quickly updated my iPhone to iOS 10 beta and my watch to watchOS 3.
It was an amazing experience. The upgrading process went by smoother than I expected.
Favorite Feature: Dock
One of the new features that come with watchOS 3 is called Dock. Think of it as the App Switcher on your iPhone and iPad. This Dock allows you to know quickly what apps is running in the background.
It also can keep you up to date with the latest information via Background App Refresh as well.
So far so good. I expected to run into some trouble, but it seems like Apple has done a pretty good job at improving their work with the new watchOS firmware.
Battery level stayed the same when I compared it with the data from the previous version which is watchOS 2.
More watch faces for me to use. YAY!!. In watchOS 3, Apple has added several new watch faces in a different style. Allowing users to choose and customize different looks.
On my side, I don’t see much of the bad performance or anything like that. But I do see some people having trouble with the new firmware (source from Apple Forums). John from Cupertino Watch also put together an on-going list of problems with watchOS 3 as well.
I think as Apple continue to release more beta versions of this new firmware, it will get better over time.
