How to Make a Cydia Repo

When starting out as a beginner, installing a tweak from Cydia is the easiest job you can do. But as you get more into the iOS system and starting to create your own tweaks, it’s time to let the world know about them.

There are several options you can choose in term of hosting your tweaks and themes on Cydia: Self-hosted or free hosting from myRepoSpace. As you can see in the title, this article will show you the two easiest ways to make your own Cydia repo.

Self-hosted Cydia Repo:

  • Unlimited storage
  • Full control over your repo, which means you can do anything to it
  • Monetization Freedom – display as many ads or however you want to make money from it
  • Regular Expense – pay monthly for hosting and yearly for your domain

Cydia Hosting from myRepoSpace

  • A little control over your repo
  • Limited storage unless you pay more for it
  • Use a sub-domain of myRepoSpace
  • Free
  • Displayed ads from the provider

Now carefully think about it and pick one. Of course, you can always try both.

How to Make a Cydia Repo with MyRepoSpace

Step 1: Go to and register an account

Step 2: When you enter your username that will be our repo name too.

Step 3: A new page will appear and that’s your control panel. Look up on the menu and click on “My Packages”

Step 4: Click on the plus (+) sign and add your .deb file you wish to upload. Boom! You’re done!

Moving on to the Self-hosted solution. This way is a little different and required a bit more work (for the first time only). I usually use a software called SourceMaker on Windows because that’s the simplest way and do not take up time or coding knowledge. However, that project has been shut down. So, the only tutorial I can find for this is from Saurik post. You can read that and follow his instructions.
