We previously mentioned that in iOS 9.2, Apple has focused mostly on fixing bugs and improve their overall firmware. However, one of the new features that captured our attention was the ability to import videos and photos directly to your iPhone from a USB source, usually a Camera.
The traditional method would be transferring all the media files from the Camera source to your computer and connect your iPhone to the computer, then import selected photos and videos to the Camera Roll. That is no longer the case if your iPhone or iPad is using the latest iOS 9 (9.2+).
How to Import Media Files from SD Card to iPhone
- Connect your iPhone or iPad with Camera via lightning-to-SD adapter
- From your Camera, select PC connectivity
- The process will then start and you will begin to see photos and videos display on your iOS device
- Select whichever photos or videos you wish to import
- Choose Import
It may take some time depending on the size of your images and videos. This come in handy if you’re a photographer but don’t often use your iPhone as a tool to capture those moments or valuable events.
