How to clear your iPhone’s RAM without restarting

Sometimes you will start to feel like your iOS device is running slow and it lagged a bit, this is due to cache and RAM. Most Apple products (iPhone and iPad) excluding the new iPhone 6s feature a 1GB RAM, however, our device is still running great thanks to iOS’s awesome resource management.

That does not mean your iPhone or iPad will continue to run smoothly every single day. Occasionally, the device will slow down and users will start to feel sluggish. The best way to solve this problem is clearing the 1GB RAM on your device. Recently, a Twitter user @MarcForrest  has figured out a quick way to clear iPhone and iPad’s RAM without restarting the device.

Awesome #iOSTip to clear RAM memory. Hold down power button till slide to power comes up then hold in home button till app screen appears.

The way to this method is by holding down the power button until you see “slide to power off” banner. Instead of swiping right to turn off the device you will need to tap and hold on the home button. A few seconds later it should return back to the home screen. This means that the system has clear up any unused RAM that background applications may be using.

As a result, your iPhone or iPad should be running faster again with no problem. This is not the best solution, but it will help definitely help you speed up your iOS device in a certain situation.
