When making or receiving a phone call on your iPhone or iPad, anything that is playing in the background such as music or video will automatically be paused by the operating system. This is extremely helpful and makes a lot of sense since the users don’t get distracted by their music or have to hear another sound besides the person they’re talking to.
Sometimes, it could be better the other way around. In this post, I will introduce to you a newly released jailbreak tweak called MusicTransport for iOS 8 – 8.4, which allows you to keep the music playing during phone calls on your iPhone and iPad. As the name suggested, MusicTransport tweak will transmit songs or sound effects over phone call, together with your voice, the person you are talking to will think that the sounds may actually come from the place you are at the moment.
You can also use this tweak to do many things such as share music instantly, besides using Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube. You can just make a call to your friend and turn on the song. The other person will immediately start to hear what you’re playing while both of you guys are on the phone.
Others may find this tweak somewhat useful occasionally…
Ever wanted to call your boss and tell them you’re stuck in traffic, having them hear all the traffic jam sounds in the background along with your voice, while you’re still getting up, at home?
Third-party applications such as Viber, Tango, or even Facetime also works with MusicTransport.
As mentioned earlier, this jailbreak tweak is available for any devices running iOS 8+. You can purchase it for $2.99 from the BigBoss repo.
