LivePapers Attempts To Fill In The ‘Android Live Wallpaper’ Gap On iOS

Yes, iOS has a lot to offer, but we can’t forget features that are available on its rival platform Android that are, well, must-haves. One of them is the beautiful live wallpapers. Although there are apps and tweaks available that attempt to fill in the gap, their functionality isn’t up to the mark. LivePapers is a Cydia tweak that aims to fulfill the purpose, and the developer states it brings beautiful live wallpapers that require minimum resources, which means that there’s no issue of battery drainage.

After installation of the tweak, a new icon is created on the home screen. There are three live wallpapers presented. One of them is the bubbles floating one, in which the bubbles float around the home screen and the lock screen. The bubble floating wallpaper is the free one.

Next, there are two more wallpapers, but both of them come with a price tag of $0.99. They’re named the Bubbles Pro and Nexus. Don’t be surprised if you feel that the wallpapers are based on Android live wallpapers, because they are. They’re the main inspiration for the developers.

Sometimes, the live wallpaper may stop functioning, but that isn’t an issue as a simple swipe acreoss the screen would bring the wallpaper back to life.

LivePapers works on all devices, and the supported firmwares are from iOS 5.1 to iOS 6.1.2 (jailbroken that is). It’s a free of charge download at Cydia’s BigBoss repository. Let us know if you try out this tweak and feel free to leave comments.
