This genre of games has always been a separate entity, content to stick to the sidelines quietly minding its own business, watching tis more noisy and boisterous counter-parts like FPSs and RPGs dictate the show. The title we have today, Puzzle Retreat, is sure to be a treat as it promises to give our minds a thorough work out. Wave Marking Of Elliot On Forex Trading
Whenever one thinks of games that involve puzzle solving, the first word that springs to mind is complex. Many make the false assumption that such titles will involve mind melting puzzles that will require super human intelligence to complete.
The concept behind this game is pretty simple, the player is provided with a board having small cavities filled within. There are also small cubes of ice littered around that must be slid and placed within these cavities. Once all the cavities have been filled, the level is completed and while this may sound like a pushover that is not quite the case.
The catch here is that the cubes occupy the very first cavity in their path, so it’s not like one can just go on placing cubes wherever they please. The consolation is that cubes can slide over an existing cube so one can form a pathway to take cubes to reach cavities.
This isn’t all, however, as there are quite a few other obstacles in the way as well which range from fire cubes, that will melt nearby ice cubes, as well as directional arrows that will change the course of a moving cube to the direction indicated.
There isn’t any danger of getting bored, however, as the app features 96 puzzles that come with the game as well as an additional three packs with 24 puzzles each that can be purchased for $0.99.
Why it’s so good?
The reason many players falling in love with the title is that it encourages players to learn from their mistakes. There is a retry button for each and every turn so one can experiment and always retry there and then if things go downhill.
The design of the app is also splendid as through its a simple concept, ensuring that players will enjoy completing it at a brisk pace, but it isn’t easy enough to be completed within a short time either. Each level is unique and a fair amount of planning beforehand is pretty much a requirement, as it is at its heart a game of strategy. Planning one’s moves to achieve success and complete the level is the basic requirement.
All in all, this is a very well planned out puzzle game that is sure to trouble and frustrate at first but yield its secrets to those who put in enough effort. The feeling that one gets when this happens is just beyond description and makes all the hard work worth it.
The game can be downloaded for $0.99 from the App Store. Feel free to comment!
