Manage Microsoft Office Document on iPhone and iPad with Cloudon App

This is a great iPhone app that lets you manage your Microsoft format files wherever you go – whether you are off for holidays or just settling at your potato couch. Cloudon app is a stellar productivity app that makes all things accessible in a few taps.

Cloudon for iPhone and iPad lets users create, edit and view Microsoft format files such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint stored on your Google, Dropbox, SkyDrive and Box account in mobile version.

It’ll be easier for workers to get in touch with their files using Cloudon mobile features, where they can get things done using iOS devices. Lots of people look forward to these productivity tools, aside from the convenience they offer, they are becoming workplace essentials.

Few months ago, the iPad version was made available to the public, now the startup company releases its iPhone version.

It joins numerous other iPhone apps which can edit Office documents, including Apple’s own iWork programs and Google’s Quickoffice. But unlike everything else, CloudOn isn’t Office-compatible: It is Office – a copy running on a distant server which you can use on your phone as long as you’ve got an Internet connection.

Here are some of the Cloudon iPhone highlights:

  • Create, review and edit Microsoft documents (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Rename, delete and manage documents with cloud storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox, SkyDrive, and Box accounts)
  • Opens any type of file virtually
  • Share files directly via email attachments
  • Track changes of the documents
  • Insert pivotal tables on Excel files

These are some of the features of Cloudon for iPhone.

Is it contagious?

Yes! For a startup company to roll out a third-party app as productivity apps are becoming essentials, is a nice move. Although there are many productivity tools available on App Store, Cloudon app nailed it when it comes to file sharing and editing.

Instead of using Dopbox alone, take advantage of its features where it can access all your files in a jiffy. I use Dropbox and Google Drive, with Cloudon app, it’s easier for me to edit and view my files.

The verdict: I give Cloudon app a 4.5 star rating.

What do you think about the app?
