Live wallpapers aren?t available for the iOS. The jailbreak community works hard to fill the gap and a number of tweaks have been released that allows jailbroken iPhone users to customize the background of the Home screen. Live wallpapers were missing in all of them, but a new tweak has been released that brings interactive wallpapers to iOS. Go Desk is a new Cydia tweak that allows you to set live animated wallpapers in the background.
After installing the tweak, an icon will appear on the homescreen. A panoramic wallpaper is applied automatically even before you launch the tweak. The drawback of the app is that there is only one panoramic animation available; Go Desk Moonlight Point. It?s priced at $2.99, which is logical as it?s the only one available for now. You can use it on the background of the Springboard after the live wallpaper gets applied automatically. You can also change the wallpaper by launching the tweak and tapping the first option to select on from the camera roll.
The live wallpaper takes over the screen below the Spotlight search area, and there are no icons on the screen. An animated frog sits on a left, and tapping it once makes it jump another leaf. Parents can also turn on Go Desk and hand the device to their kids.
Older iDevices may experience Springboard crashers after the tweak is installed, and it?s not compatible with the iPad. We expect new animations to be released for Go Desk. You can download it from Cydia?s BigBoss repository. It?s available free of cost. Let us know if you try it out.
