Have you ever wished to call someone without having to quit your favorite app? Well, this is now possible with the all new Dial Cydia tweak. This jailbreak app will allow you to dial numbers through gestures. The dialer can be used with the stock options, or replace the Spotlight search area, Siri, or the App Switcher Tray.
After downloading the tweak, there will be a menu added in the stock Settings application. You can enable the tweak through the first toggle presented to you. Two-default gestures can be used in conjunction with the tweak; App Switcher’s Home button double-tap, or Siri’s Home button short-hold. The ‘replace toggles’ replaces the stock feature and gestures with the dialer. By choosing the ‘Open With’ toggle, you can double-tap the Home button to bring a dialog box. Choosing the ‘Open With Spotlight’ toggle may be the ideal option if you don’t want to interfere with Siri or App Switcher tray.
There is a limitation with the tweak. It won’t sync with your contacts, and you would have to enter the numbers manually. However, they can be pasted in the text box that appears. Apart from this limitation, the dialer is simple to use. All you’re required to do is enter a phone number and tap the Call button for making calls, or the Text button to send text messages through the stock app.
You can find Dial from Cydia’s BigBoss repository. It is available for $0.99. Let us know if you try it out. Feel free to leave comments.
