In iOS, the device has to be rotated to change the orientation of certain apps. There are also instances when the orientation gets changed without an intention. To take the matter into your own hands, you can go for UIRotation for Activator Cydia tweak. This tweaks allows you to manually switch the orientation when using the app irrespective of the physical position of the iDevice. Read on for more details.
To have total control over the orientation, you can use it with the rotation lock. The tweak, however, works only for apps that are compatible with multiple orientation modes. The tweak will have a new Activator menu installed in the Settings app. It doesn’t have a menu of its own since it’s an Activator plugin. You can access the tweaks menu by choosing any gesture.
There are 4 options available to you; rotating the display left of right or left, turning it upside down and bringing to normal view through the default option. You can choose one of these options, or set up the tweak for all of them.
The application will run normally if the device’s orientation hasn’t been locked. This means swiping left will rotate the app in use even if the device is being help in a vertical position. You can get it back again to normal view with the default gesture. An orientation lock would be handy here.
