Photo editing is addictive. Take a snap there, a little over there with just the right lighting, combine them with filters and effects from various photo editing and sharing apps. It’s more addictive when you tinker with the Retina display screen and HD camera. Photography is at its best, whether you are an amateur or pro.
I want to share with you these top 5 photo editing and sharing apps I currently use. (I only recommend apps worthy of review). The list of photo editing and sharing apps is endless. However, these five apps were set apart. Join me as we unbox each.
1. Aviary Photo App
If you need some enhancing tools and features for your photos, this app is highly recommended. The Enhance mode is useful for the photo lightning conditions. The app offers stellar effects, which are Instagram killer, giving more dramatic themes on your photos such as Grunge, Nostalgia, ViewFinder (paid) and AF 12FX (free).

The Orientation and Crop options provide adjustments for your photos, and a dash of contrast or saturation will enhance the color.

Tip: You should try the Stickers for humorous images. The original designs are free. If you want to unlock the other stickers, an In-app purchase is required.

Aviary is FREE for download on App Store. In-app purchases starts from $0.99.
2. ColorStrokes
ColorStrokes photo editing app is one of the stellar applications I have tried. Mix and match the colors on a Grey canvass, and you will be surprised with the stunning effect. Even our fellow Apple blog, Redmond Pie hailed it as one of the best selective coloring applications.

Once you load a photo from the Camera roll, it will launch a Grayscale version of the image. However, you can also change it to Sepia or Bluetone as you wish. Use the color palettes and splash tool to make it more creative.

Tip: Use the zoom feature if you want to highlight a certain object. The brush size can be adjusted for accurate strokes.

ColorStrokes is available on App Store for $0.99.
3. Pho.to Lab
If you are bored with simple borders and effects, you might want to try Pho.to Lab and add graphics and designs that will help you paint thousands of words. Pho.to Lab adds a heap of cool Effects, Backgrounds, Human-to-animal montages, Stylised effects, Caricatures and many more.

This is one of the coolest professional photo editors with tons of filters, frames and backgrounds. Create a funny photo using this app and share it with your friends. You can also suggest your own ideas of effects to the developer for more designs.

Tip: It’s a dream come true! It’s your face on a Magazine cover for real. This is one of my favourite feature, a girl’s dream to be featured in Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmo on the spot. (Of course, this is just a mock-up pictorial.)
Pho.to Lab is FREE for download. The Pro version costs $4.99
4. PS Express
Adobe PS Express is another Rockstar photo editing app. Photo editing is one Adobe’s expertise, and although there might be some limited features compared to its PC version, the app lets you use simple taps and gestures to edit images and share them from your
iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The effects are astounding.

One of the limitations of OS devices is the low-resolution of the rear camera, which results to rough images.

That’s when Adobe PS Express’ Reduce Noise comes in. I fell in love with this feature because it literally reduces the noise of the images. However, the app only allows users to see the changes without saving the photo.
It requires an In-app purchase of Adobe Effects Pack to use the feature, which is worth $4.99.

Tip: If you want to save the changes of Reduce Noise effect on your Camera roll for free, simply take a screen shot of the photo. And it’s free. You just need to crop the image later using the stock editing options in the Camera roll.
Adobe PS Express is FREE for download. The In-app purchase of Abode Effects Pack costs $4.99.
5. Vintique
If you want to add vintage effects on your images, Vintique will do it for you. I already featured this app a few months ago. I was a bit dissatisfied back then with its limited features. I don’t have a choice but to delete it. I’m glad the developer made some overhaul and added large resolutions for images.

Vintique provides 32 filters for images, 49 frames, 19 various vignetting and 26 textures. It’s an Instagram killer when it comes to the filters.

Tip: Use the center option instead of zooming the image when cropping an image.

Vintique is FREE for download on App Store. The In-app purchase for the Plus Pack costs $0.99.
6. FotoRus
FotoRus is our Editor’s choice. And I definitely agree with him. If you want to create lively photos, FotoRus offers professional editing, collages, GIF animations and much more. What’s more, it’s FREE. It’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

I love the Pic-in-Pic modes. You can choose from different frames such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, tablet, Android tab and create lively photos inside a picture.

Basically, FotoRus is a combination of bits and pieces from Instgram, InstaFrame, Fuzel, PreviewMaker (Cydia Tweak) features with a plethora of special effects you can download for free.

FotoRus is available on App Store for FREE. You can download it via this direct iTunes link.
