The most-awaited smaller iPad tablet is finally here.

Apple unveiled the smaller iPad 1PM Eastern Time and the company has a lot of surprises for Apple fans. The highly-anticipated event kicked-off with iPod sales, app sales and iOS 6 usage reports by Tim Cook and the flagship of Mac models were introduced by Phil Schiller.

The new Macbook Pro with Retina display is quite tempting and the super thin iMac model is a breakthrough innovative product through the years.

Mr. Schiller was all set on stage for the smaller iPad.

“We’ve got some really cool stuff to show you, and to do that I’d like to welcome Phil back up on the stage.”

The iPad Mini features:

  • LTE Ultrafast Wireless enabled
  • 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band WiFi
  • Lightning Connector
  • 7.2 mm thick (thin as a pencil)
  • 0.68 pounds in weight
  • Available in Black and White
  • 7.9 display with 1024 x 768 resolution
  • Dual-core A5 processor
  • 5 megapixel iSight Camera
  • 1080p in Video
  • Siri

The smaller iPad is officially called “iPad Mini,” And the exact image of the tablet matched the leaked images and mock-ups published all over the Web. Mr. Schiller said you can hold the tablet comfortably with one hand. Basically, it looks like the fifth generation iPod Touch – incredibly thin and beautiful.

The entry level model 16 GB with Wi-Fi cost $329. The 32 GB iPad Mini cost $429 and 64 GB cost $529 respectively. Add $130 for LTE models.

We know you are excited to get a new iPad Mini. The good news is – pre-order starts on 26th. The Wi-Fi models ship on 2nd of November. Apparently, the cellular models will be shipped two weeks later.
