As the saying goes, “you get what you pay for.” When I purchased my iPad 3, I bought this cute iPad case (pink) worth 20 bucks. It wasn’t branded anyway. It’s gangly and too big. And after a few days, I realized the case doesn’t match the hole of the camera lens.
I searched on Amazon a list of top-rated iPad cases. One of my favorite brands is Griffin. The Survivor Military iPad case looks great. But to shell out $80? I have to think twice.
Then I stumbled upon Speck iPad cases on one of the Power Mac Stores in our place. If you want a rubbery nubbin-textured soft case that surrounds your iPad and protects the unit in all sides, I highly recommend Speck Pixelskin HD Wrap.

The front case folds up into a triangle in two stand angles perfect for viewing and typing just like the Smart Cover cases. It has a small sticky patch along the backside and an intuitive magnet that activates iPad Sleep/Wake function.

Spoiler: Traditional-sized screen protectors for iPad are not compatible. They peeled away from corners because the case surrounds the unit tightly. Speck produced their own line of iPad screen protectors that fitted the rubber case.

It does offer an encompassing protection on your iPad. If you’re ready to shell out freaking 50 bucks for the case, then prepare to pay heartily for the ShieldView screen protector as well, it’s worth 25 bucks.

It looks like I spent almost 80 bucks for iPad accessories. Overall, the products are worth it.
The integrated magnet is awesome. I don’t have to push the sleep/wake button. The pixelated texture is perfect for grip.
Overall, this case is one of the best cases I’ve seen so far. It’s good for every day use.
The verdict: I highly recommend Speck PixelSkin HD Wrap for every day use. I give it 5-star rating.
