We know that Siri, Apple?s very own virtual assistant can help users perform a lot of tasks when she receives simple verbal commands. Though the fruit company has given her an impressive a set of skills, her repertoire keeps improving through the numerous tweaks which we can easily find in the Cydia Store. Not only that, we all know that once the iOS 6, which we all are waiting for, is released, it will further improve her performance. Though she is able to perform tasks, which are related to software, she isn?t able to do a lot when it comes to the hardware side of the iDevice people use. A tweak by the name SiLight will no doubt change that.
SiLight allows users to turn on the camera flashlight by simply giving a verbal command to the virtual assistant. There isn?t a specific list of commands because even saying something like, ?Siri, switch on the flashlight? will be able to do the trick. To turn off the flashlight, you can say something such as:
- “Turn off the light”.
- “Turn off the flashlight”.
- “Thanks for the light”.
- “Thanks for the flashlight”.

This tweak is an add-on which is based on the AssistantExtensions platform, and it will download it on to your device, if you don?t have it already. Another good thing is that you just have to download this tweak and start using it. There aren?t even any changes you have to make because it doesn?t have a menu in the stock Settings app and neither does it have an icon which will be displayed on the Springboard.
Though this tweak is beneficial, there?s one thing which it can?t do. You are able to turn on the flashlight by a verbal command; however, you will have to switch it off through another flashlight toggle, or you will have to do it manually.
Having said that, SiLight is still a very useful tweak, and you can download it for free from the ModMyi repo.
Let us know what you think of this tweak, and if you will be using it?
