All of us are anxiously waiting for the release of Apple?s newest firmware – the iOS 6, however, we all know that we have to wait until this Fall in order to get our hands on it. While other people have to wait for a few more months in order to try out the firmware, the developers, on the other hand have already tested out the first and the second beta versions of the iOS 6 and now, Apple has released the third beta version for them as well.
The third beta version was released as an over-the-air update and it takes care of some of the bugs which were present in the previous two versions. It?s a good strategy by the company as by releasing these versions it gets to know if there are bugs present in the firmware and how it can be improved. This version arrives as the Build 10A5355d and it has been released three weeks after the previous version on the Build 10A5338d was released.

Along with some things which take care of the bugs present in the previous versions, it has been observed that one of the changes present in the third version of the firmware is a new section present in the Settings app for Maps. This new section allows the users to change the volume of the navigation voice which they will hear as well as set the distances to display the miles or kilometers. This new section also allows the users to set the map labels and select if they will display either in the local language or if they will be displayed in English. Users can also select whether or not they want the map labels to be ?normal? or ?large?.

According to Macrumors, other changes include:
- Roadwork and traffic accidents showing up in Maps app
- Answer and Decline buttons for FaceTime calls have returned
- iMessage on iPad now accepting phone number as valid contact info
- Greater 3D Flyover coverage in Maps
- Glyphs for bookmarks, Reading List, and history in Safari
- Auto-brightness changes gradually
We all know that the second version was quite battery-friendly and the same thing can be hoped from the third version along with making the firmware more useable. The links will be available soon on Apple developers center. Leave any comments that you might have!
