Any seasoned jailbreaker will agree how painstaking it is to respring, restart or reboot iOS devices after the installation of tweaks. This also applies to users who love to install packages daily. We all know Cydia updates us with regular tweaks, themes and other miscellaneous system upgrades, and one thing that will save us from lags plus with the proper installation is the respring and reboot of the device.

If you love installing packages daily, you will find this jailbreak tweak useful. It’s called “MultiBoot.” It has been there in the Cydia’s repository not so long ago. The name itself stirs excitement of expecting multi-boot functions for the iOS device. However, to break the ice, the tweak doesn’t work that way. Its main purpose is to provide additional options in relation to power cycle, which is already integrated on iOS devices but the options are hidden away in the stock system.

MultiBoot is considered as a stand-alone app that doesn’t include configuration on the package itself. Once the icon is tapped, you will see a user-facing alert box that includes the four options of power cycle, SafeMode, Respring, Power and Reboot instead of the full-screen settings app as expected. It includes Cancel button to close the alert box. You may also consider hiding the MultiBoot icon in the folder of your choice.

To download MultiBoot, launch Cydia and tap Search. Type in, “MultiBoot” and install. It will require a restart of the springboard. Then check your Home Screen and look for the icon. You can leave it as is on the screen of hide it in the folder of your choice.
Personally, I don’t find anything remarkable. However, as a seasoned jailbreaker, I find it very useful because I usually test the tweaks for review. Overall, I give this 4.5 star rating.
MultiBoot is available on Bigboss repository for FREE.
