App Review: TheEndApp for iPhone and iPad

TheEndApp logoRun for your lives! The end begins with the The End App action and entertainment game. It’s loaded with exciting running challenges like the Temple Run.

These behind-the-back infinity running games have become popular downloads on App Store, in addition to the Sci-Fi futuristic cover-based shooter games. These two genres are adapted as widespread platforms. There are different themes on behind-the-back running games, but there is a derivative that stands out since its debut called Temple Run followed by Temple Run Brave. It’s amusing to play these games which require our reflexes to turn, jump and slide. That’s when I found another app that features the same platform.

The End App Game on App Store

Goroid Games’ The End App stick to the same genre with its thematic features and frankly, stirred my curiosity to download it and take a shot.

Basically, The End App shares the same mechanics and loads of Temple Run – the currency and swipe controls, IAP system and the style play. However, The End App differs on graphics. The theme is based on doomsday environment in the near future; the world ends and duct tape will be the means of exchange.

The End App Game on App Store Goroid

Your task is in the first part of the game is to score on duct tape in an abandon city full of hazards and damaged properties. It’s a grim environment. However, the colorful graphics offset the end of the world theme.

Pros:

  • Stunning colorful graphics
  • Smooth swipe controls
  • Different levels and environments
  • Infinite running
  • Social media friendly with share integration

Cons:

  • Not recommendable for children

This genre needs alert reflexes. You’ll end up on larva and hazardous materials and bumped into properties if you don’t take it seriously. Personally, I find the game exciting. However, due to full colors of graphics, sometimes I find the colors of duct tape confusing.

Overall, I give The End App game 4-stars rating.

The End App is available on App Store for FREE. If you want to take it on the next level, you can download the PRO Challenge for $0.99.

What do you think about the game?
