Add a Tab Key To Notes App With NotesTab Tweak

The Notes App lacks a feature that most computers have in common and this is the tab key. That’s why iOS developer Fire30 thought of this tweak that allows users to add a tab key on Notes App keyboard. The jailbreak tweak is called “NotesTab.” As the name suggests itself, basically the tweak features the tab key while taking notes. As you all know, the iOS keyboard doesn’t have this function.

Personally, I’m a fan of Notes app. But with the plethora of Notes app on App Store; I try some of them and see how they work. Nonetheless, for the love of the stock Notes app, I stick to its features because of the cloud syncing and backup.

So if your day involves taking down notes for your grocery lists, expenses, discussions and quotes, the tweak serves right for you. Once the NotesTab is installed, you can use it right away without any modifications on Settings app. The tweak adds the tab key in a separate extension, and while this may seem a little awkward, the tweak works at its best.

It would be appropriate if it was integrated in the keyboard like the microphone for Siri dictation. The separate extension of the tab key is positioned on the keyboard, reducing the Note’s app pixels while typing. If you can stand this small compromise, the tweak might be worth downloading.

The tab key allows you to create five tab spaces every time to tap it, and it will require you five taps of backspace key if you want to undo it. It’s useful when separating details on the Notes app. However, the tweak works solely on the Notes apps. You can’t see the tab key on other apps like Safari, mails or pages.

Above all, I give this tweak 3.5 star ratings.

NotesTab jailbreak tweak is available on Cydia’s BigBoss Repo for FREE.
