If you’re looking for a list of some inexpensive apps, then you?re reading the wrong article. Most apps in the iTunes store are fairly inexpensive ? in fact many of them can be downloaded for free. On the other end of the scale, there are a handful of apps that will cost you right at a grand to download ? the highest amount Apple will allow developers to charge for an app. At $999.99 USD a piece, these nine apps are among the most expensive to be found in the iTunes store.
Are they worth the money? That depends. Unlike the infamous ?I am Rich? app from a few years back, these apps actually serve a purpose and deliver value to the users who download them. Each app was created for a very specific user and probably aren?t of any use to most iPad and iPhone users. However, if you?re looking to pass the bar exam in California or New York, provide speech therapy, make a lot of speeches, or you?re just a bored millionaire looking for the VIP treatment you deserve, then these apps are definitely for you.
1. The Alchemist SMS
From Ferrous Solutions, Inc.

Users enter their specifications for charge buckets, choosing from over 90 predefined steel alloy specifications and over 60 predefined metal scrap and alloy specifications. Alchemist SMS then designs a charge bucket that utilizes existing inventories of scrap metal as well as a loading scheme for efficient production, generating a PDF report that can be emailed out and printed for easy implementation.
A full operating manual is available on the developer?s website.
