One of the most anticipated events of this year across the globe is the London 2012 Olympic Games. Sports enthusiasts, media, and players who will participate in the competition can feel the excitement. It’s going to be an exceptional experience indeed!

Well, even iOS developers look forward to this event, and to give us a taste of what’s going to happen there, NEOWIZ Internet Corp, released the Official London 2012 Olympic Mobile Game. It’s available on App Store.

Play like an Olympic athlete right from your iOS device. Train like never before and compete in 9 fast paced event. What we like about this game is that you can set up your own character as you participate in nine Olympic events.

The graphics are awesome, and the background music gives you a competitive spirit to train more and go for the world record. The game is actually based off 12 venues that will be used at the actual Olympics.

Here is a rundown of the the nine events:

  1. 100M
  2. 110 M Hurdles
  3. Triple Jump
  4. Pole Vault
  5. 100 M Freestyle
  6. 100 M Butterfly
  7. Kayak
  8. Double Trap
  9. Archery

Before you begin the training, you are prompted to set up your own player and also adjust the strength, balance, agility, accuracy, flexibility and mentality. The game rocks! It also shows real-time world ranking. Another feature stands out – the users can train and customize the athlete in over 220 items and can choose three-game modes.

For starters, you can try the training mode, and then explore the other extremes from the Olympic and challenge modes. Before the game starts, your little alien friend will give you a tip on how to play and excel against the other athletes. You can create a maximum of three characters too.

The Official London 2012 Olympic Mobile Game is compatible with iPhone 4/4s, iPad 2 and the new iPad. The Premium game is available on App Store for free and $2.99 (with additional 3,000 stars and 5 max. stamina points).

Tell us what you think.

A very important tip, as I’m screwed:
    1. start the challenges directly
    2. don’t try to get high scores, try to JUST make the challenges
    3. when you completed all challenges, go hard again
If you gain high scores in the beginning, your opponents will get a lot better too, you’re always classed just in between other players based on your PB.
I can’t get past the first challenge in Triple Jump because my PB is close to the WR and can’t seem to finish anore with first 3…
    Looks like a bug…
