Many of us love to use Winterboard, a popular tweak on cydia to theme your iPhone. For some reasons, you may want to use your own wallpaper instead of the one bundled with the theme. Winterboard comes with a “User Wallpaper” feature that lets you replace the bundled wallpaper with your own. We have written a detailed guide showing you how to make use of the feature. However, as informed by some readers, this “User Wallpaper” feature doesn’t work in iOS 5.
Here is a fix if you find the “User Wallpaper” doesn’t work. The fix is simple. You can simply delete or rename the default “Wallpaper.png” of the Winterboard theme. I’ll use the “Suave” theme as an example to show you how to apply the fix. But the procedures should be similar for other themes.
How To Rename/Delete Wallpaper.png in Winterboard Theme
1. First, here is the original theme of Suave. It looks great but let’s see how we can apply the fix to use another wallpaper.

2. Pick your own wallpaper and set it in Settings.

3. Next, use iExplorer or SSH to access your iPhone.Navigate to /private/var/stash/Themes/

4. Now, launch Winterboard on your iPhone and select the “User Wallpaper” option. Click the Home Button to respring. That’s it. You should be able to enable your own wallpaper after respring:
