It?s jailbreaking time!
The current RedSn0w 0.9.12b1 was released by iPhone Dev Team, and it supports iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.
This release also includes the Rocky Racoon and untethered iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak developed by p0d2g and planetbeing that was used in Absinthe 2.0.x.
Before anything else, make sure that you backup all your data in your device. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to jailbreak your iPhone with iOS 5.1.1 software using RedSn0w available on Mac and Windows.
Reminder: The following tutorial is meant for iPhone users only.

The Redsn0w 0.9.12b1 supports iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 3G on iOS 5.1.1. To check your software version, simply go to Settings > General > About > Version should be iOS 5.1.1. The jailbreak process is at your own risk. This may void the warranty of your device.
Update your iTunes to the latest version.
Step 1:
Download Redsn0w 0.9.12b1 for Windows or Mac. After downloading the file save it in a folder named ?Redsn0w? on your desktop.
Step 2:
You?ll see the Redsn0w zip file. Simply double-click and extract the application to the ?Redsn0w? folder you created on Step 1 then launch the application.
For Windows users, run the application as ?Administrator.? Right-click on the RedSn0w exe and select ?Run as Administrator.?
Step 3:
Click the jailbreak button once you see the Redsn0w window.
Step 4:
After clicking the jailbreak button, it automatically starts the process. The three steps include
? Preparing
? Processing
? Finishing
Step 5:
Once the three steps are finished, it will prompt you a successful jailbreak installation. Wait for a few minutes and your iPhone device will automatically reboot.
Wait for a few minutes again and it will respring.
You should see the Cydia icon on the Home Screen after the jailbreak process. Often times you see the icon on the first page of Home Screen, if you can?t find it, simply search ?Cydia? to confirm.
