Facebook Integration in Upcoming iOS 6

The iOS 5.1.1 update fever is still high, and Apple users are expectant of new updates and releases in the coming months. One of the updates is the upcoming iOS 6 (code named: ?Sundance?). The name iOS 6 is a presumption, knowing how Apple labels new software updates.

What?s interesting on iOS 6 is the Facebook integration. The rumor mill is over. Facebook and Apple are finally in a ?relationship status? after years of speculations about the plan. Few years ago, an unreleased iOS 4 build includes Facebook’s integration.

With iOS 5, Apple released Twitter integration, an advantage for Twit-addicts, was authorized as main third-party app. This is really exciting now that we can have Facebook and Twitter integration in our devices if this comes out in reality.

It?s possible to update your Facebook credentials directly in the Settings app. Many details were not yet provided. It?s still uncertain on how ?exactly? the sharing will work. Definitely, this highly-anticipated integration will change the way we share photos, videos and update our status.

We don?t know how Apple will work on this, but let?s expect this will be a seamless feature. It?s nice if they also include contact syncing with our iPhone?s phone app and Siri dictation on our status. Awesomely insane.

TechCrunch also mentioned,

?But Facebook integration will be very important for iOS ? tons of apps use Facebook for sign-ups and authentication (many use Facebook as the only way to do this, to the dismay of some). Apple was undoubtedly watching this activity and realized that it was time to formally bring Facebook on board.?

With Facebook users increasing every day, approaching one billion and iOS devices skyrocketing 400 million units, this is going to be a huge partnership.

What do you expect to see in the upcoming iOS 6?
