It will be a year in October since Siri was first introduced with the iPhone 4S. Since then, a number of ways has been introduced to customize the digital voice assistant or make it more useful. There are a number of tweaks at the Cydia Store that are focused on Siri. The latest addition comes in the PersistentAssistant.
It?s a new tweak that brings a new feature to Siri which should have been present by default. With PersistentAssistant, you don?t have to hit the icon each time after you?re done interacting with Siri. After you say something, she will automatically detect you?re done talking, and start to search about your query. This is nice, as you can talk to Siri while driving or lying in bed without the need to touch the device!
Upon installation, there will be a new menu added in the stock Settings app. It requires a Siri-enabled device. The tweak doesn?t have to be configured through the menu. The menu has just one toggle which is enabled by default for on or off. To work on the tweak, open Siri (this is just the time when you need to touch the device) and speak anything. Siri will respond to your query after a small break, and you don?t have to hit the icon at the bottom again.

The PersistentAssistant tweak is free of cost. It is available at Cydia?s BigBoss repo. Maybe you can take Siri along with you on a long-drive! The manual launch is only once and then you can talk to her all the way while you drive. It won?t have any negative effect on Siri?s performance as well. I recommend giving it a try as it doesn?t cost anything!
