This post is specifically intended for iPad 2,4 users. Chronic Dev Team released Absinthe 2.0.4 that supports the iPad 2,4 model. Jailbreak issues are unavoidable, and thank goodness; the hackers are keeping us updated on latest versions.
We mentioned from our recent post the release of Absinthe 2.0.1 for iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak with fixes on error messages of 2.0 version, which doesn?t support iPad 2,4 model. This is the iPad 2 model tagged $399 with a tweaked A5 chip or the iPad Wi-Fi R2 model.
Planetbeing updated his Twitter and said,
?Absinthe 2.0.4 is out with iPad 2,4 support. Thanks to everyone who helped! Got many ppl to send me data and sadly can?t mention them all.”

So if you?re having jailbreak issues on iPad 2 with, emphasis ?iOS 5.1.1,? just to remind you, this Absinthe 2.0.4 update works with iOS 5.1.1 ONLY. You may try this jailbreak and see how it goes. Of course, at your own risk ? back up your data before you proceed.
For those who have successfully jailbroken their device using the Absinthe 2.0, 2.0.1, or 2.0.2, it is unnecessary to execute this jailbreak.
Absinthe 2.0.4 is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 4G.
The Absinthe 2.0.4 doesn?t support the Apple TV 3.
Absinthe 2.0.x is compatible with iOS 5.1.1 only. For older software versions, simply go to Settings; tap General, About- Version. You can update using iTunes or OTA.
For iPhone unlock, you can use the Sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 for UltraSn0w with Windows only.
