I just love shopping coupons? Whether it’s promotional discounts or freebies, coupons are an integral part of my shopping experience these days. However, keeping track of coupons is a nightmare for me. Very often, just when I’m about to redeem my coupons at the billing counter, I realize that I forgot them at home. Therefore, I’ve tried a number of coupon apps on my iPhone but with limited success. Recently, I came across SnipSnap - a refreshingly new approach to storing coupons on your iPhone.
SnipSnap works on a simple principle – store your coupons on your iPhone and take them wherever you go. The app lets you take photos of your coupons, it then processes the bar code, text and images into a mobile-optimized offer, which you can redeem off your screen. The best part – when you enter a store, SnipSnap actually reminds you of what coupons you have for it.
Once installed, SnipSnap prompts you to allow using your location.

Next, you can connect your Facebook or Twitter accounts with the SnipSnap app or choose the ‘Ask Me Later’ option to continue.

SnipSnap has 5 tabs – Coupons, Stores, Snip, Discover and Settings. The coupons tab shows a listing of all your coupons.

The Stores tab lists the list of stores for which you’ve collected coupons. The ‘snip’ tab is the heart and soul of SnipSnap – it lets you snip coupons on the fly. The Discover tab shows you a list of popular coupons and lets you snip them as well. You can also contribute coupons to the Discover page thereby contributing to the SnipSnap coupon lovers community.
The Settings tab lets you configure options such as location sharing, coupon expiry period, sharing settings etc. Although I liked the SnipSnap experience, I think the real fun will begin when it adds manufacturer coupons. None the less, if you’re a shopaholic looking for discount coupons, SnipSnap is made just for you!
