Unlock iPhone 4 Or 3GS On iOS 5.1.1 With Ultrasn0w Fixer

Unlock iPhone 4 LogoiOS 5.1.1 was released few days ago bringing a number of bug fixes and HDR photos improvement. Jailbreakers and unlockers were asked to stay away from the update but I am sure some went on to update regardless of the warning. The main problem is for the unlockers as you can?t connect to your carrier which leads to a problem. In most cases, ultrasn0w could be reinstalled but since there is no update from the Dev Team, you now need to rely on ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1. Read on for more details.

Ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1 allows you to unlock your iPhone 4/3GS on Apple?s latest firmware. The basebands supported include 01.59.00, 4.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.01, 06.15.00. The iPhone 4/3GS must be jailbroken on iOS 5.1.1 with the latest redsn0w tool.

How to Use Ultrasn0w Fixer

Step 1: The first step is to jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 5.1.1.

Step 2: Open Cydia and add the 3rd party repository ultrasn0w fixer for 5.1.1 is hosted in. After Cydia opens, go in the Manage tab > Sources section > tap the Edit button > tap the add button and enter the following source:

Step 3: After the source has been added, go to the iparelhos repo section. After you see the ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1, just install it on your iPhone.

Step 4: After ultrasn0w fixer has been installed, head over to Cydia?s Search tab and search for ultrasn0w. After you find it, install it and reboot the iPhone.

After you go through with these steps, your iPhone 4 or 3GS will be unlocked on iOS 5.1.1. Make sure to install ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1 before ultrasn0w if you?re facing issues. Those who did the reverse case need to uninstall both packages, reboot the iPhone and follow the walkthrough again. Feel free to comment!

      How can i preserve my baseband while upgrading the verion to 5.1.1 as i believe it will change the base from 06.15.00 to something else . am i correct ?

      if i am correct how can i stop that , if i cannot stop it them will i be able to jailbreak and unlock my iphone 3gs with this method ?

      Guys I was using Iphone 4 with baseband 02.10.04 and firmware 4.1 until sunday 3rd June.

      I upgraded my IOS firmware to 5.1.1.

      It works like a charm!!!!!!!!!!!

      I used snowbreeze latest version 2.9.5 and followed instructions as it says.

      Videos available in youtube helped me..

      It was earlier unlocked using Gevey SIM and it is unlocked the same way.

    Hi, i recently bought an iphone off craigslist and got stuck with it… it’s an iphone 4 from mexico, it is updated to version 5.1.1… i can’t even activate this phone since i don’t have the valid sim card… would i be able to unlock it and use it here in usa with tmobile??

        open the dial pad and dial an emergency number for ex 112, then as the call gets connected press the home button, then tap on the ‘return to call’ option displayed on top of the screen, then you’ll be there on ur home screen, open cydia install ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1 and start using ur phone!!!

      you must restore first your baseband to original. redsnow is already released their new version that you can downgrade your ipad baseband to i phone baseband. 1, back your data 2, restore and upgrade to ios 5.1.1 and 3, jailbreak it. done

    Hi ! I unlocked my Iphone 4 , IOS 5.1.1 , BB 01.59.00 with Ultrasn0w Fixer for 5.1.1 but still there are some problems after unlock :
    1. signal bars very low ( weak signal )
    2. no cellular data ( no 3G , can not activate Cellular data )
    Waiting for an updated Ultrasn0w that will support 5.1.1 !!!

    Is it possible to get this to work on 3GS v5.1 (9B176) – Modem FW 05.16.05?

    I’ve got NO SIGNAL & SEARCHING… since i upgraded from version 4 to 5. My phone was originally jail broken to us a t-mobile chip on a non t-mobile phone but when i went back to using its original carriers sim card i figured i could just factory reset it and upgrade to version 5.1, only problem is since i did that and the firmware upgraded to 05.16.05 my phone keeps dropping signal.

    It happened literally immediately after i did the upgrade and has remained that state ever since, regardless of whether i re-activate my phone or restore it or put any other sim card from any network provider back in it.

    I’ve seen people upgrading to the ipad baseband and running this fix to get it working again, but Ive been told under no uncertain circumstances should I upgrade to that, and to be honest i don’t want to either.

    How can i safely downgrade my modem firmware to a compatible one to be able to carry this fix out?

    Iam also getting the same problem, when i try to access the maps using my 3G network always the single is showing searching and restart the signal bar…….

    Ultrasn0w fixer is having some problem i think….

    Had upgraded to ios 5.1.1 but couldn’t activate my iphone either through wifi or itunes because the iphone couldn’t detect the SIM card.

    Since my iphone can’t be activated how or what can i do to unlocked it/

    Someone please help:

    I have a 3gs on 5.1.1, baseband 06.15.00 (ipad). I have the phone jailbroken and unlocked through Ultrasn0w but I have constantly had an issue where the phone drops all signals after a phone call is made or received. To try and fix this I have downgraded from 06.15.00 to 05.13.04 and gone back to 06.15.00, I have upgraded FW from 4.3.3 to 5.1.1 and again switched between the two basebands, and ultimately, I have tried uninstalling ultrasn0w in order to install ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1 and then reinstalled ultrasn0w. NONE of this has fixed my issue so if any of you can tell me whats wrong please do so!

    Hi i am using iPhone 4 which is running on ios 4.3.3. i am using Gevey ultra sim.I works perfectly. Then i upgrade it to ios 5.1.1 and jailbreak it with latest version of redsnow. After that i put my simcard with Gevey ultra sim and follow the instruction shown in the iphone to activate it. I have done every thing it says but at last it does not show the network. It shows “No Service”.
    Please any one help me to get out of this problem. Or do i have to use another Gevey sim for my iphone4 running in ios 5.1.1.

    and i have no service i have snowbreeze it and still no service i did an ultrasn0w fixer in cydia and still no nathing i olso did an ultrasn0w in cidia and nathing can sameone help me with it i am hoppeless
