Do You Want an iPad Mini With Retina Display?

Enough of rumor mills! We’ve heard updates of the iPad Mini, and everyone wants to know if Apple releases such a model.

Well, for people with tight budget, and anxious enough to buy a sky-rocketing price of iPad 3, favor has come to your way. Apple will release a smaller iPad in October, and the price starts as little as $200.

This is going to be an exciting tablet experience. It?s the affordability that makes all things possible for Apple fanatics out there. What?s more exciting – the tablet competition in the coming months, as Microsoft ventured with Barnes and Nobles? Nook to beat Apple?s flagship of tablets.

Apple?s course of action simply reflects their aggressiveness to penetrate the market with the iPad Mini. Currently, the iPad is dominating the tablet arena. Some would probably ask if Tim Cook?s company would get serious on releasing a cheaper and less-featured model for consumers.

The market offers an avalanche of tablets, if Steve Jobs is alive; will he allow his company to produce an iPad Mini when most of the entrants in the market carry 7-inch display tabs?

On October 2010 earnings, Steve Jobs addressed this issue on iPad?s size and said,

?If you take an iPad and hold it upright in portrait view and draw an imaginary horizontal line halfway down the screen, the screens on the 7-inch tablets are a bit smaller than the bottom half of the iPad display. This size isn’t sufficient to create great tablet apps in our opinion.?

Apparently, Tim Cook is navigating in the other side towards the sea. By simply dropping the prices of such device, it?s a straight dagger to any vendor that will be courageous enough to compete. Kindle, Nook, Galaxy Tab tried their best, yet failed to make such significance to customers, maintaining practical prices.

In terms of features, the iPad Mini is a scaled-down version of the 9.7-inch iPad. If the company maintains the 2048×1536 resolution, the pixel density will carry a sharp 326 dpi, same as the quality of iPhone 4S.

Any thoughts about the 7-inch display tab?
