Unlock Your iPhone Using SAM Unlock 2.0

If you had trouble on unlocking your iPhone using SAM, you don?t have to worry about anything.

Sam Bingner, developer of Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM) released a new update and made it simpler for users to unlock the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. You can keep your preferred SIM in this update. The developer tweeted two days ago,

?The latest update for SAM should fix some issues with the activation if you click in SAM, and give you a pretty indicator while you wait.?

The quick unlocking is for 04.11.08 ? 04.12-01 baseband. Before proceeding to the following step-by-step guide, you need to jailbreak your iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

Steps to Unlock iPhone 4 using SAM Unlock 2.0

Step 1: Launch the Cydia Store on your device.

Step 2: Tap the Manage tab > Sources >Edit. Enter repo.bingner.com as the Apt/Cydia URL . After this, Cydia will verify the URL and it will automatically install it.

(If you have the latest version of SAM installed in your device, proceed to Step 4.)

Step 3: Install the SAM and SAMPrefs after the package is added. To search for SAM, simply tap the Changes tab or use Search tab. When you see SAM on the search list, tap Install > Confirm. Tap the Springboard button to reload when prompted. The SAMPrefs is also installed in this process.

Step 4: Insert the SIM Card you want to use.

Step 5: Launch the SAMPrefs that you?ll find in Home Screen.

Step 6: Tap Utilities and tap Attempt Activation found under Activation.

Finally, wait for a few minutes. You should see the Activation message box prompting, ?Please wait? this may take a while.? After this message your device will reboot. Check the signal, and see if it was a successful unlock.

Reminder: After the successful unlock, conduct a backup of the activation ticket using Redsn0w or iFile. You may use this in the future, just in case.

    I’m thinking of buying the R-sim for unlock cause sam is over and gevey (which was actually sam all along) has closed so what do you think? is there anyone who currently uses the Rsim for Iphone 4 (BB 04.11.08)

      Don’t waste your money the r-sim no longer works and they stole the sam method and used it and now that the sam method is blocked by apple then nothing currently works.

    Hay I use a rebel sim on iPhone 4,
    i have old rebel software so I have to reset it probably once a week or so when I forget to turn 3G off when I drive in the country .
    but it takes about 15 mins to reset and then it’s good for another week or so untill I forget again..

      Your rebel sim is for a baseband that was before 04.11.08 and that is the only reason the rebel sim works for you. Now if you are on this baseband or above and you say the r-sim works for you then you are nothing but a liar because the r-sim 4 for this baseband was nothing more than a copy stolen from the sam method just to make money since they were to damn stupid to figure it out for themselves.

    Just so you will all know and be aware of that there is currently no more unlock baseband 04.11.08 and above. Sam method has been permanently blocked by apple and if that wasn’t bad enough, both the gevey sim and the r-sim 4 were complete and total copies of the sam method that was released. Why else do you think that the damn r-sim 4 is no longer available by eachsupplier website. Take this warning seriously and do not waste your money on any unlock methods for the basebands I mentioned because like I said there is no method that currently will work for them, and by the way ruben who told you there was a sam 2.0 because there is no such thing and it still will not work because again as I stated it has been blocked by apple.

    Maria, you should have looked around more before making this post about sam. The sam method has not worked for a couple days now and it looks to me like you posted this method after it was already blocked by apple. I know you are trying to help but all your doing is causing mass confusion when you do not have all the information concerning a product such a sam for unlocking iphones. Nothing currently works to unlock baseband 04.11.08 and above currently because everything that was released besides the sam method was just a copy of the sam method including all sim cards used to unlock these basebands.

    i m used SAM method to unlock my phone ….currently i m using 5.0.1 unteetherd jb … btw i saved the ticket for future unlock safely …my question s if i update to 5.1 , nce the unteethered releases , ll the activation ticket works and can i unlock the phone , y i m asking is i wanna make sure whether i need to stay n 5.0.1 forever or can i update to 5.1 …becoz i m fear of losing unlock if i update n if the activation ticket didnt works ..hope u get me ..what i mean actually …pls clear my doubt …

    This really blows…….. SAM was the past, present & FUTURE of iPhone Unlocking & now that Apple has blocked the software we are all stuck. Please release something soon Sam B. We have all been waiting patiently since late April.

    is there atleast factory unclock available instead? i know its quite pricey but then better to have atleast choices than not, not like these.. were all stuck!! i hate it! mine was version 5.0.1 with BB 04.11.08

    I used gevey sim 3 months back and my phone was unlocked.
    But now suddenly it has stopped working.
    What am i supposed to do now??
    Should i Go for the factory unlock option or not??
