There are thousands of productivity apps on the Apple App Store but only a few stand out thanks to their creative design and innovative features. Having used oooloo for a while, I can surely bet that it belongs to that elite category of apps which helps one improve productivity with a minimal learning curve and loads of flexibility.
Developed by Lazy Appz, oooloo is all about improving your productivity by making your routine tasks easier. First things first, the name ‘oooloo’ stands out. But then, nothing about the oooloo app is mundane. A quick look at oooloo’s stunning color scheme justifies the statement that it’s an app to organize your creative life.

Once installed, oooloo prompts you to login using your credentials.

If you don’t have an existing oooloo account, you can sign up using the ‘New’ section as shown below.

Once logged in, oooloo presents you the following 5 options – To Do, Contacts, Calendar, Notes and Images. Additionally, there’s an option for Sharing as well.

oooloo contacts score a one up on the native iPhone contacts functionality by providing an ability to add notes, images with an embedded gallery and weekly calendar listings.

The Calendar shows a date-wise listing and lets you add tasks for a particular date/ time.

The Sharing option lets you share lets you share a folder with other oooloo users.

You can create new folders and edit folders as shown below.

You can categorize images as per your preferences or use the existing oooloo folders as shown below.

On the positive side, I really like oooloo’s ability to password protect individual notes and the ability to share folders with other oooloo users. I’d like to see a few improvements though. For a start, the oooloo app really needs a search feature. Secondly, the free version allows you to create only 30 notes.
An upgrade to the premium version costs $19.99 per year and it offers several exclusive features such as full sync with your web-based oooloo account, export/ import notes, unlimited notes and attachments etc. All in all, oooloo is an impressive productivity app which offers loads of flexibility. My recommendation – try oooloo once and if you think it’s worth an annual subscription, go for it! After all, 20 bucks per year is not too high to pay for a drastic improvement in your daily productivity.
