Many features came with the release of iOS 5 in October 2011. Along with enhancements like the Notification Center, Siri was also released with the iPhone 4S. We covered why other iOS devices won’t get Siri officially, as it is by official measures exclusive to the iPhone 4S hardware. Initially, the developers were facing difficulties in creating and testing Siri-based tweaks. But after the release of greenpois0n absinthe tool which allowed for untethered jailbreak of all A5 devices, the Siri tweaks started flowing in!

‘K3A’ released AssistantExtensions which is available for free in Cydia. It offers additional Siri functions and enables developers to write plugins to hook into the Extension tweak. A latest plugin for AssistantExtensions has been released. It is called ‘TweetLine’ and it provides Twitter integration though the registered Twitter account in the Settings app. You have to activate Siri through the normal method and give the spoken command ‘timeline’, the tweak forces Siri to show the latest five tweets from the Twitter timeline.

However, the commands are limited. Right now, the tweak will show the last five tweets from the timeline with usernames when the ‘timeline’ command is given with any links not shown! The only thing it is useful for is being able to read the tweets quickly and scroll the tweet sheet inside the Siri interface.
This tweak might be useful for those who are regular tweeters and find themselves in a busy situation. TweetLine is available through ModMyi repo and required a Siri enabled device with a registered Twitter account!
You can try the tweak if you want to. It is available for Free!
