One of the recent news that will have the developers among our readers especially interested is that Apple has finally rolled out the Apple iOS 5.1 beta 2 version for developers. While there is one good development, the new iOS 5.1 beta 2, also has a few disappointments.
The major improvement that is found on the new iOS 5.1 beta 2 is the one that has been requested many times before, which is that all the photos taken from iOS 5.1 from any of your device can also be deleted from the Photo Stream. Plus that photo will also be automatically deleted from the Photo Stream of all your other iO 5.1 enabled devices. On the other hand the older photos will have to be treated, and deleted manually. This change is a major improvement as compared with the previous version, version 5. In iOS 5 if you can not delete a single photo from the Photo Stream, you must ether live with the photo, or delete the entire stream.
It seems like Apple has finally heard the pleas of many of its enthusiasts, or at least some of them. For a while the Photo Stream issue has been fixed, Apple has still kept the iOS 5 battery issue sadly unresolved. There have been complaints from the owners, and user of both iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S about battery. Users of both the sets have been complaining about reduced battery time on the sets. While this is not an unusual thing when we see the history of iOS, but what makes this scenario a bit special is that iOS 5.0.2 did not solve this issue. Plus this update has also affected previously well working iPhone 4, and iPhone 3GS handsets.
Of course it is worth noting that this new release, the iOS 5 beta 2 is just a test version, and only registered developers have access to it. So Apple is probably working on a solution.
Other than that xcode 4.3, and Apple TV iOS 5.1 have also been released, but it seems no real change has been found there.
The beta version is set to expire on 31st January.
