Earlier, @musclenerd from iPhone Dev team has announced a major update for Redsn0w, one of the popular jailbreak tools. The update is expected to be released by Monday and it will bring some nice features to the jailbreak utility.
Will be pushing out a major redsn0w feature upgrade before my trip to Korea: http://is.gd/PMAdT1 (and look, no IPSW selection button!)
Unlike existing versions of redsn0w, the update will no longer require users to select the appropriate IPSW iOS file. The jailbreak tool will do it for you and automatically fetch the firmware file directly from Apple. The file will then be cached locally so you won’t have to download it again.
What’s More
On the top of this improvement, the new version gives you a number of handy options including:
Just boot – Great feature for tethered jailbreak. You can use this option to boot your tethered device.
Pwned DFU – Bring your device into DFU mode.
Recovery Fix – Stuck in the recovery mode? This option can kick you out of the recovery mode due to an iTunes restore error.
SHSH blobs – Fetch, verify or use SHSH blobs. Through this option, you can submit the SHSH blobs and save it to Cydia server directly.
Take a look at the screenshots to have a glimpse of the upcoming redsn0w update.

Stay tuned. We will let you know more when the new version is officially released.
