So you don’t like the “Slide to Unlock” gesture? How about double tapping the lock screen to unlock? Or simply tapping with two fingers to unlock it?
With a recent tweak named StyleUnlock, you’re free to customize the multitouch gestures to unlock your iPhone. StyleUnlock comes with 13 gestures for you to choose from. For instance, you select to use “2 fingers swipe up” or “Pinch with 2 fingers” to unlock your iPhone.
How to Use StyleUnlock
StyleUnlock is free to download from cydia. Just like other hacks from cydia, StyleUnlock is not a standalone app. That means you won’t find any app icon in home screen after the installation. But StyleUnlock comes with a configuration screen in Settings that lets you customize the unlock gesture and you’re also free to hide the “Slide to Unlock” slider.

The tweak works on both iPhone and iPad running iOS 4 or up. I’ve tested it on my jailbroken iPad. It just works as advertised. As the developer mentioned, StyleUnlock is compatible with passcode lock. So even you’ve configured your device with passcode, the tweak still works for you.

Got Slide to Unlock Issue
I’ve heard from a few friends that they got problem with “Slide to Unlock” slider. Sometimes they need to slide a few times before iPhone detects the slide-to-unlock gesture. If you also experience the similar problem, I think the StyleUnlock may help. Try to install the hack and select other gestures to bypass the “Slide to Unlock” problem.
What do you think about the tweak? As always, we love to hear your opinion. Leave us comment and share your thought.
