When I first got my iPhone, typing using the on-screen keyboard really bothered me. It still does, but like most of the things in my life, I have learned to live with it. For those that still want a tactile keyboard, here are some Slide Out Keyboard possibilities made possible since Apple added Bluetooth support to the iOS.
Factors to Consider
Antennae Interference. Yes, since all slide out keyboards are attached to the rear of the iPhone, there is a possibility that it may interfere with the already fragile signal that the iPhone receives.
Access to Flash and Camera. Corresponding with my earlier point that most keyboards are at the rear of the iPhone, the camera and Flash should not be blocked in anyway.
Form factor. The slide out keyboard should not add too much thickness to the iPhone.
Here are 2 Slide out Keyboards that you may want to consider:
BoxWave Keyboard Buddy iPhone 4 Case

This keyboard also acts as a case for the iPhone. It?s designed to provide access to all of Apple iPhone 4′s controls, features, camera, and ports. Its integrated slide-out Bluetooth keyboard allows for fast switching between touch screen to a physical keyboard. It is charged thru a USB plug and each full charge should hold for 45 days.
The Keyboard Buddy iPhone 4 Case is available for $69.95
Nuu MiniKey for iPhone 4

According to Nuu, this keyboard allows access to the phone?s rear camera and flash while helping the iPhone 4?s antenna keep its antenna?s signal. The backlit screen allows you to see the keyboard while typing in low-lit conditions.
Nuu MiniKey for iPhone 4 is available for $80.
