
If you have been following iPhone news lately, you should already be familiar with the whole fuss about iPhone location tracking. The iPhone has been maintaining a log file containing various locations the phone has been to. This file was also copied to the Mac or PC with which the user synced his iPhone.
As expected, Apple has rushed to push a firmware update to fix this. iOS 4.3.3 has been released for GSM iPhone and also iOS 4.2.8 for the Verizon CDMA iPhone 4.

What?s new in iOS 4.3.3:
This update contains changes to the iOS crowd-sourced location database cache including:
- Reduces the size of the cache
- No longer backs the cache up to iTunes
- Deletes the cache entirely when Location Services is turned off
