A while ago, we gave you a sneak peak into Celeste, the latest app from CocoaNutApps which brings bluetooth file sharing to iOS 4 devices. Well, we have great news. Celeste is finally live in the Cydia store and you can purchase it for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Since Celeste is a Cydia application, you need to have jailbroken your iPhone to download this app. At the moment it only supports iOS firmware versions 4.2 and 4.2.1 for the simple reason that we don’t have a stable jailbreak tool for iOS 4.3.
Priced at $9.99, Celeste will let you send and receive files over bluetooth from any PC, Mac or phones supporting OBEX Bluetooth file transfers. Find more details about the app and instructions on installing after the break.
iOS Integration
The CocoaNut team has done a really great job at integrating the app with the iOS system. They need to given a lot of credit for this. You might have already noticed this in the Celeste Video Demo we shared before. The app itself does not have any icon or settings page. It can be toggled on or off using SBSettings.

You can use it to send songs, contacts, ringtones, voice memos, books etc. The possibilities are limitless. An official tutorial or guide hasn’t been released for Celeste yet. However, it’s on its way and you should also be looking forward to our full review of this app once we have spent some time with it.
Gremlin Support
When you purchase Celeste, you also get a free copy of Gremlin which is worth $1.99. Now, here’s why it’s a big deal. Earlier, whenever you downloaded files using iBluenova or other applications you could only use it in that application or iFile. Songs could not be accessed from iPod.
This is where Gremlin comes in. It allows you to import all download songs and videos into iPod and then in turn sync them with iTunes. Sounds great, right!
Price
CocoaNutApps has not released any demo version of the App which is surprising as similar apps like iBluenova had offered us a time limited trial version for their releases.
Celeste costs $9.99. However, a three day introductory sale lets you grab it at a discounted price of $7.99.
How to Install Celeste?
Celeste is available in the Cydia store via the ModMyI repo which is added by default. So just hit refresh in Cydia to update your packages and then search for Celeste.

If you haven’t purchased an app from the Cydia Store before, you should read our guide to purchasing apps from Cydia. Read more about Celeste on its homepage or the developer’s website.
