I am sure that “music” and “cloud computing” are words which are known to you. If you are a music lover and if you’ve ever wished you could play all the music and videos stored on your computer on the iPad and iPhone, now you can with this new app.

Zumocast is an app designed for both iPhone and iPad which is able to turn a computer into a personal cloud that can stream video to these devices. The app uses a web-based interface and no upload or sync are required because the videos and music stay on your computers!

Zumocast is a well known product, released previously for iPhone and iPod Touch which allowed to stream media from any computer to your iPhone and iPod Touch. Now, the company launched the same app for iPad, with a redesigned interface for this platform.

This app is a real time saver for music lovers who have their collections spreaded over several devices. If you want to use Zumocast, download the free software, register for the service and after that download and install the app from the iTunes Store.

Zumocast features are:

  • You can play your entire collection of videos and music anywhere
  • Streaming media to iPhone, iPad, and any web browser
  • Not worrying about uploading or syncing content across devices

The app will search out and find every song and video on your hard drive and give you on-demand access to them on iPad or iPhone. Even the application is not 100% stable, it represents a great way to gather together the multimedia content which is saved in more than one location and arrange it to suit you in the best way.

The design of the app is great and is a pleasure for the eyes to browse it. It fills your highest expectations about how should be a great music and file sharing app and it has a number of different tabs along the bottom of the screen as well as a menu as the left hand side of the screen. Its design is similar with the iPod feature on iPad or the iTunes interface for PC or Mac. If you will navigate through it you will feel the joy of using an app offering a rich customer experience.

One of the best features of this app is that you can actually access a variety of files on your computer which are located on a separate computer. Also it allows you to stream a lot of different file types to the device including music and video files. All of them stream very well over a regular Wi-Fi network and you can even stream PDF files and more to the device.

Another excellent feature is that you will be able to transfer files from your computer to the iPad with only one click. Just by pressing a button on your iPad it will automatically download the file from your computer and save it in an IOS format to enjoy your choosen file at any time.

Without any doubt, this is one of the best apps released for the iPad in terms of streaming your media. It also offers a lot of different options and all these free of charge.

You can download Zumocast for free from iTunes here.
