You should be very familiar with Spirit that it’s a jailbreak tool for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad running iPhone OS 3.1.3. If you have used Spirit to jailbreak your device, you probably agree with me it’s the easiest and fastest jailbreak solution available. Just plug your device via USB and click the “Jailbreak” button. That’s it.
But that doesn’t mean Spirit is completely error-free. Some readers have followed this guide to jailbreak their devices, but run into various problems, especially for those using Microsoft Windows.
To ease your jailbreak process, here is a summary of the common errors and possible fixes for Spirit Jailbreak:
Error c0000005
You may encounter this error during the launch of Spirit. This is probably because you’re not using the latest version of Spirit. Check out the official website of Spirit and download the latest version. Alternatively, you can also run Spirit in Windows 98 / ME compatibility mode to resolve the error.

Error c0000138
To fix this error, you can copy the file “libeay32.dll” from “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support” to “C:\Windows\System32″.
In case you can’t find the “libeay32.dll” file in the folder, try to do a complete search on your PC. Once located, you can just copy it to “C:\Windows\System32″.
Spirit requires iTunes 9 to function
A developer, Kirma, has released an application called iFixer to resolve the iTunes compatibility error for both Spirit and blackra1n. You can download the iFixer from here and put it in the same folder as the Spirit file. Simply execute it before running Spirit and iFixer automatically resolves the error. You can further check out the video demo to see it in action.
Does the solution help? Or you encounter other errors that are not mentioned above. Please remember to leave us comment and share with us.
