One selling point of iPad is you are able to tap into all iPhone apps available on App Store. Obviously, all iPhone apps are compatible with iPad. However, there is a catch. If you own an iPad, you know it’s a poor experience to use iPhone apps on iPad. It just looks odd!
When you run iPhone app on iPad, it’s not in full screen mode by default. What you get is an iPhone simulator running inside the iPad. The device comes with a “2X” button to bump up the size of the iPhone app.
I love the idea but the app looks grainy with the pixel doubling feature. For those who do not own an iPad, here are a couple of screenshots showing how iPhone app runs on iPad. The picture on your left is how iPad runs iPhone app by default. The pic on your right is with the “2X” feature enabled.

Like me, if you don’t the pixel doubling feature and want to run iPhone apps in full screen mode on iPad, the FullForce application is right for you.
Developed by Ryan Petrich, FullForce is a cydia application that targets to force iPhone app to run in native resolution of the iPad and without the distortion of the pixel doubling feature.
Just take a look at the below screenshot. I run the same iPhone app with FullForce. It looks gorgeous and just like a native iPad application.

To use FullForce, you need to have a jailbroken iPad. The FullForce app is available for free in cydia. Simply search the term “FullForce” in cydia to download it.
Once installed on your iPad, go to “Settings” and then tap “FullForce”. Here you find a list of iPhone apps available on the iPad. To force those iPhone apps to run in full screen mode, simply flip the switch to ON. Next time, when you launch the app, FullForce will automatically push the iPhone app to full screen mode.

However, don’t expect the FullForce app can force every iPhone app to run in full screen mode. From what I tested, common iPhone apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Beejive work perfectly with FullForce. Some apps particularly for iPhone games do not work with the full screen hack. Anyhow, FullForce is a great hack for jailbroken iPad.
Since launch, the developer has rolled out several bug fixes release for FullForce, Hopefully, it will support more iPhone apps in near future.
What do you think about FullForce? If you find any of the common iPhone apps that doesn’t work with FullForce, remember to leave comment and share with us.

Works with just a few of my apps but works well with those.
