Here is a good news if you are waiting for iPad to arrive your country. Apple today announced that iPad will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on Friday, May 28. Preorder of iPad will begin on Monday, May 10. Both WiFi and 3G will be available for preorder through Apple’s online store.
Due to local tax, the local price of iPad may vary. But expect it may be a bit higher than that in U.S. which ranges from $499 to $829. For instance, here is the pricing for U.K.:
- 16GB, Wi-Fi only: £429 ($630)
- 32GB, Wi-Fi only: £499 ($733)
- 64GB, Wi-Fi only: £599 ($880)
- 16GB, 3G + Wi-Fi: £529 ($777)
- 32GB, 3G + Wi-Fi: £599 ($880)
- 64GB, 3G + Wi-Fi: £699 ($1,027)
Besides that, Apple also plans to rollout iPad in Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore in July. Apple will announce availability, local pricing and pre-order plans for these nine additional countries at a later date.
