Developed by the same company of Qik Live, Qik Video is not a new iPhone app and has been around for quite a while. As you know, both iPhone 2G and 3G lacks the capability of video capturing. Like iVideoCamera, Qik Video Camera is another great app that empowers older models of iPhone to capture video.
Last Friday, Qik Inc. offered an update of Qik Video and provided even more features to the app. You can now add real-time effects to your video including:
- Black & White
- Black & White w/Red
- Mirror
- Avatar (blue skin)
- Sepia
- Spot zoom
- Twirl mirror
- X-Ray
- Frosted glass (draw on the screen to see through the frost!)

The new version also lets you share the video via Facebook and SMS. As compared with other official video camera apps, Qik Video offers great video recording quality (up to 15 FPS), brightness control and supports landscape mode.
If you are interested to record video on iPhone 2G and 3G, remember to check out Qik Video camera. It is now available at App Store for US$1.99. To download, you can simply click this direct iTunes link.
