On desktop computer, you can easily expand its storage by plugging in an external hard drive or simply a thumb drive. You may be using the earlier generation of iPhone with only 8GB storage. So, what if you would like to expand it? Check out AirStash.
AirStash is a wireless flash drive (via SD card) with built-in media server. It’s just like your USB thumb drive but with wireless capability. You can simply drag & drop the movies, music, photo files to a SD card, plug it into AirStash, which can then automatically share the files wirelessly with any WiFi-enable gadgets including iPhone. With AirStash, you can freely to expand the iPhone’s storage. Just bring along with additional SD cards and you easily expand the iPhone storage to over 32GB.
As AirStash supports standard SD/SDHC and microSD/SDHC cards, it can power your iPhone to read files on these cards directly. This is simply awesome! Think about how you can view the photos on your digital camera to iPhone. Normally, you load all the photos from the SD card to your PC/Mac and then sync the photos back to iPhone via iTunes. But with AirStash, you can just pull out the SD card from the digital camera, put it into AirStash and you can download the photos directly onto iPhone. Cool, right?

AirStash comes with a built-in lithium battery and you can charge it through the USB port. It was announced in CES held in early Jan and the product is not available yet. But expect it’ll be released very soon. Stay tuned. I’ll keep you update on that.

I must have missed something. So I have an iPhone and 2 iPods. More music, classical, than I can fit on all three of them. I would really like to be able to move music on and off without connecting to my desktop or putting it all on the laptop so that I would have to carry it around when I wanted to add or delet some music. But I don’t know of anything like the Airstash, but directly connected to the iPhone or iPod that will allow me to do what the Airstash can do wirelessly. Something is missing somewhere or is there no one else who would like to do this?
Wow! This is amazing. With this device, one can have a huge collection of data, on the go. And the best part is that it can be used with an iPhone too. This device is ideal for long air travel or train rides if the capacity on your device is low. Now the iPhone 3G 8GB has a 32GB capacity.
