The popular Facebook app for iPhone has been updated a new version that rolled up the version number to 3.1.1. The update brings a couple of killer features including contact synchronization and push notification for iPhone users.
Like many Facebook users, I regularly fire up the app to check for friends’ update. Now, with the support of Push Notification in v3.1.1, you no longer need to launch the Facebook app to keep track of your friends’ wall post, messages, events, friend requests, friend confirmations, photo tags, events or comments. Instead, whenever there is an update (say, you gets a new friend request), you will get notified with a pop-up message or sound depending your preference configured in the Facebook setting.
Other than this nifty feature, Facebook 3.1.1 also allows you to sync your Facebook friends’ contacts with the iPhone address book. To use the sync feature, tap “Friends” on the home screen of Facebook app, tap the “Sync” button and switch “Syncing” to ON. This will enable Facebook app to sync the contact and pull down profile pictures of your friends.

The Facebook app is one of my favourite iPhone applications. Facebook 3.0 was a big step forward and this minor update further polishes this great iPhone app. The update is already available on App Store. I highly recommend you to upgrade your Facebook app to the latest version. Simply launch “App Store” on your iPhone to get the update. Or you can click on this direct iTunes link to download it.

About this sync with FB, is really cool, but the picture is that shows up when your friends call you is quite small, any way to make it bigger? for the picture there is no way to figure who is calling
Thanks guys
