Earlier, we have already covered about the event – 12 Days of Christmas. Do you still remember it? Today, Apple kicks off the promotion campaign and gives you the first gift for the Boxing day. The first present is a digital song (i.e. An Olive Grove Facing The Sea – 2009 version) from indie rock favourites, Snow Patrol.
The “12 Days of Christmas” campaign runs from December 26 till January 6. For each day, Apple is going to offer free songs, music videos, apps, TV episodes and films on a daily basis until January 6. And the free gift will only be available for 24 hours.
Presently, the event is only available to UK customer or those with an UK iTunes account. If you’re the lucky one, go ahead and grab the free gift by clicking this iTunes link. Act quick. Let me stress again. It’s only available for 24 hours only (probably less when you read this post).
Remember this is just the first gift of the “12 Days of Christmas” event. Apple will offer you another free gift tomorrow. To keep track of the free gift update, you can install the “12 Days of Christmas” app [iTunes link] on your iPhone or subscribe update from the official website via RSS.

Snow Patrol…more of a mercy killing than a gift, really. Nice to see Apple embracing this kind of model, though.
