Apple has launched a new iPhone commercial with a holiday theme [see below video]. With over 100,000 iPhone apps in App Store, Apple featured 12 iPhone apps for Christmas. Here are the apps you’ll find in the ad:
- The Betty Crocker Mobile Cookbook [Free] – Wondering what’s for your party? This free app puts more than 4,000 tried-and-true recipes at your finger tips.
- Postman [US$2.99] – Save paper. Let’s use iPhone to send out Christmas card. Postman is the app that enables you to beautiful virtual cards from your photos and sends it to your friends.
- My Christmas Gift List [US$0.99] – The app is designed for organizing your Christmas shopping: starting from contacts, budget to idea and gifts. It offers the most efficient and enjoyable way to get all your Christmas gift on time.
- TabToolkit [US$9.99] – TabToolkit is an incredibly powerful guitar tablature and music notation viewer. It’s an essential tool for learning new music or practicing. Take your tabs and sheet music with you whenever you go!
- Holiday Bells [US$0.99] – The app lets you play handbells and jingle bells with Holiday bells. Just shake the iPhone to play the jingle bells or single handbell. Tap on the bell set to play multiple bells at once. Great app for Christmas.
- Snow Reports [US$1.99] – Planning for your ski trip? This app is a helpful companion for you. It offers snow reports provided by OnTheSnow.com and allows you to create a personalized report of all your favorite ski resort worldwide.
- Christmas Fever [US$0.99] – A game specially designed for Christmas.
- Anna Sheffield Jewelry [Free] – Anna Sheffield is a New York-based designer who hails from Northern New Mexico. With the app, you can shop the complete award-winning Anna Sheffield and Bing Bang jewelry collections on your phone.
- myStarbucks [Free] – Not sure where your closest Starbucks is? The official iPhone app from Starbucks is for you. The app comes with an easy-to-navigate store locator lets you search by amenities and get directions. You can also use the app to explore Starbucks’ whole bean coffees, find nutrition information, and build your own perfect drinks. It’s a fun app for coffee fans.
- Kayak Flight Search [Free] – This free iPhone apps connects to kayak.com, the best flight engines in the world. You can easily find the right flight and hotel straight from your iPhone.
- Weather Pro [US$3.99] – Developed by MeteoGroup, the app gives you the benefit of high precision weather forecast in over 250,000 locations worldwide. Also, you can view animated maps showing satellite and radar for some countries of the world.
- Schlage LiNK [Free] – This app allows users to remotely lock and unlock LiNK-equipped doors, check the status of door locks and communicate with home control devices from any location. In the ad, Apple shows you how it can be used for lighting up a Christmas tree! The app is free but you need to pair it with the Schlage LiNK Starter Kit that costs US$299.

not bad but i bet ya at&t’s winter ad will include luke wilson in a xmas hat trying to convince everyone about at&t’s spotty but fast 3g … hey at&t just give me a phone service that doesn’t start breaking the call at two bars … my VZ is solid down to 1/2 a bar and holds the call. i do believe the iphone is the worlds best smartphone and the nations worst carrier.
Seriously…the iphone 12 days ad ‘7 Slopes a skiing” Is the asian community down with this?
Yeah the app does require other equipment but it does more than control your lights and door locks.

I found through my research that it can also control your thermostats and stream live video from your security cameras on to your phone. Not just the iPhone either.
